A maternity photo shoot can be scheduled at any point during your pregnancy - after all, you are radiant throughout! However, pinpointing the ideal time for capturing these moments can be tricky. Generally, the golden period is between 26 to 34 weeks. This is when your baby bump is noticeable, yet you're not overwhelmed by the later stages of pregnancy. This timeframe typically falls from late in your second to early in your third trimester.

For first-time mothers, the visibility of the baby bump might be less pronounced at 26 weeks, making around 30 weeks a better choice. Each pregnancy is unique, so consulting your photographer is wise. Personally, I prefer photos from the latter part of my second trimester, as I found my facial features also changed towards the end of my pregnancy.

For those on their second, third, or subsequent pregnancy, the body tends to show signs of pregnancy earlier. Previous experiences can guide you in deciding when to schedule your photo shoot, considering how your body changes during pregnancy.

When it comes to what to wear, maternity fashion can be a mix of excitement and frustration due to the ever-changing body shape. To empower and bring out the best in expectant mothers during their photo sessions, I offer a selection of stunning gowns tailored to highlight the beauty of the baby bump. While personal outfits are always an option, dresses uniquely accentuate the pregnancy glow and ensure comfort during the shoot.

Adding a personal touch, it's also essential to consider the season and your comfort level with outdoor or indoor settings. A photoshoot at sunset in a summer park or on the lakeshore can be magical. However, a cozy indoor session can capture intimate, tender moments with a variety of outfit changes. Remember, these photos are more than just images; they're timeless memories of an incredibly special time in your life.
