FAQs

What is your photography style?

My photography style is characterized by clean colors, natural light, airy aesthetics, candid moments, and natural poses. Our sessions are down to earth and reflect everyday life. I aim to create timeless images that evoke genuine emotions and tell your story.

How do I know if we are a good fit for each other?

By choosing me as your photographer, you can expect a focus on genuine moments, a preference for natural light, and a commitment to delivering images that evoke emotions and tell your unique story. If you are seeking bright colors, studio flashlights, swaddled babies on the backdrops, or a heavy retouch look, I recommend finding a photographer specializing in that particular style. I believe that finding the right photographer is a personal decision, and I encourage you to explore my portfolio and assess whether my style resonates with your vision. If you feel connected and are excited about the possibility of working together to create beautiful, heartfelt photographs, I would be honored to be your photographer of choice.

What is the turnaround time?

My streamlined editing process and attention to detail enable me to promptly provide you with a remarkable collection of photographs. My commitment to you is a swift turnaround time, with your fully edited images delivered within seven business days following your photoshoot.

Do you provide photos in black & white?

I understand that black-and-white photography can bring a unique and timeless charm to images, enhancing their emotional impact. If you prefer black-and-white photos in addition to color, let me know, and I will ensure that a selection of your images is beautifully transformed into black-and-white at no additional cost.

What does editing involve?

Editing involves a range of processes to improve an image's quality. These include color correction, adjusting lighting, enhancing light-shadow details, removing skin imperfections, whitening teeth, and enhancing the image's sharpness and volume. Furthermore, I offer additional services like detailed retouching, collaging, face swapping, and other specific retouching requests, which are subject to separate negotiation and may incur an additional cost.

Where are you located, and do you travel?

I am based in Toronto and primarily serve the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). However, I love exploring new locations, and I'm more than happy to travel for on-location shoots outside the GTA. Let's discuss your specific needs, and we can plan accordingly.

How do we book a session with you?

Booking a session is easy! Simply reach out to me through the contact information provided on my website, and we can discuss your requirements, session details, and available dates. Once we finalize the details, a deposit will be required to secure your session, and I will provide you with all the necessary information to prepare for your session.

When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?

Newborn sessions are ideally scheduled within the first two to three weeks of your baby's arrival when they are still very sleepy and flexible. It's recommended that you contact me during your pregnancy to reserve a spot, and we can adjust the exact session date based on your baby's arrival.

How long does a typical session last?

The duration of the session depends on the shoot's type and scope. Typically, a family session takes about 1 hour, while newborn and maternity sessions may require a bit more time to ensure we capture all the precious moments.

When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?

The ideal time to book a maternity photo session is generally between the 26th and 34th weeks of pregnancy. However, it ultimately depends on the expecting mother's preferences and the photography style desired. Here are a few factors to consider when deciding on the timing:

  1. Belly size: From the 26th to 34th week, the belly is typically prominent and beautifully rounded, making it ideal for capturing the essence of pregnancy.

  2. Comfort level: Scheduling the session during this timeframe allows the mother to be comfortable during the shoot. She may still have enough energy and mobility to pose comfortably without feeling too fatigued or uncomfortable.

  3. Avoiding potential complications: Booking the session before the 34th week helps minimize the risk of unexpected complications or early labor that may hinder the session's ability.

What should we wear for our session?

I encourage you to wear comfortable clothing that reflects your personal style and makes you feel confident. It's best to choose outfits that coordinate well together without being too matchy-matchy. For my sessions, I usually recommend following light\ pastel\ and natural colors. I'm happy to provide guidance and suggestions on clothing choices before the session.

Can we include our pets in the photo shoot?

Absolutely! Pets are considered an important part of the family, and I welcome them to your session. Just let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly and ensure their safety and comfort.

Can you help us with location suggestions for outdoor sessions?

Sure! I am familiar with various scenic locations in and around Toronto that serve as wonderful backdrops for outdoor sessions. Whether you prefer a lush park, a vibrant urban setting, or a picturesque waterfront, I can recommend suitable locations based on your vision and style. If you have a specific location in mind, I'm more than happy to accommodate your request.

Can you accommodate last-minute bookings?

While it's best to schedule your session in advance to secure your preferred date, I understand that sometimes life can be unpredictable. If you have a last-minute request, please reach out to me, and I will do my best to accommodate you based on my availability.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our outdoor session?

As we all know, weather can be unpredictable. If the weather conditions are not suitable for an outdoor session, we can reschedule for another date that works for both of us. Your safety and comfort are important to me, and I want to ensure that we have the best possible conditions for capturing beautiful images.

Can we include extended family members in our family session?

Absolutely! Family sessions are a perfect opportunity to capture beautiful moments with your extended family as well. Whether it's grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins, including them in your session will create lasting memories for everyone involved. Just let me know in advance so that we can plan accordingly and make sure to accommodate everyone.

Do you require a deposit to book a session?

To secure your spot on my calendar, I kindly request a non-refundable deposit of $100. This ensures that I reserve dedicated time for your session and guarantees my availability to capture your precious moments.

What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel my session?

I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring a rescheduling or cancellation of your session. If you need to reschedule, please notify me as soon as possible, and we can work together to find an alternative date that suits both of us. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable in case of a cancellation.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm excited to be a part of capturing your special moments as a family!
